"Your program worked great this week and I couldn't be more excited about it. Your labour management system is very easy to use. I anxiously wait until everyone is synchronized at the end of the day to look over their statistics. And it only takes me 10 minutes to gather all the info I need and edit any mistakes (usually not necessary).

Today I repaired a few problems my workers pointed out to me via my managers palm. Also, I checked on a few problem plants and entered notes stored on my palm. This way in a few days or weeks I can check on those plants to see if the plant improved or not. I normally don't have a good memory for things like this but the palm is my memory bank.

I think by April 1st I will implement an incentive program based on our weekly performance statistics."

At any point of time, the information collected on an individual Palm Pilot can be transferred to the PC via wireless remote control-like synchronization. Back from the computer, a worker receives his/her current performance along with the best and the worst performances in the group. This creates a competitive and productive atmosphere among workers.

On the PC side, the information logged by workers is processed into a set of views and reports that allow the management to analyze workers' overall performance, individual performance on a daily basis, the duration of real work versus breaks, performance-per-operation, the time consumed by each operation, and more. A supervisor has the ability to set quality grades to individual workers. The grades affect the performance calculations bringing down "high speed/low quality" guys.

In line with the labor management functionality, The Digital Grower provides a grower with an additional set of status views and reports on the logged problems and diseases. This creates a unique mechanism of constant monitoring of the situation and keeping it under control.

No need to run miles of wires, or buy an expensive proprietary hardware. Internet-enabled right out the box, The Digital Grower comes preinstalled on a Mini PC computer that can be easily connected to the company's local network or used as a regular PC. No client software other than a regular Internet browser is needed in order to access the product's functionality both locally and remotely.

The Digital Grower can be installed as a standalone system or as a part of an integrated package Integreen (www.integreen.com) - an open architecture web-based solution that currently includes labor management and/or problem tracking, electronic access control, and in-house alarm handling.
